Pre-Pilates: The Fundamentals

  • Pi Studios Ransomes Dock, 35 Parkgate Rd England, SW11 4NP United Kingdom (map)

Workshop Overview

These movements are sometimes misunderstood as “easy” or “for beginners,” yet in reality, they ask for extraordinary precision, awareness, and patience. Pre-Pilates challenges both teacher and client to slow down, to feel rather than perform, and to find the control, connection, and coordination that make the classical work possible.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a series of Pre-Pilates exercises and guiding principles that can be integrated seamlessly into your clients’ sessions. These foundational movements build strength, awareness, and stability — supporting the transition into more complex repertoire with confidence and safety.

You’ll learn how to:

Recognise and address the “missing links” that prevent true progression

Support clients in connecting more clearly through the Powerhouse

Use Pre-Pilates as a developmental tool

Deepen your own understanding of the Method’s architecture from the ground up

By the end, you’ll leave with a refined eye for movement, a renewed respect for the art of preparation, and practical tools to bring greater integrity to every stage of your clients’ journey. Workshop Cost:

  • Pricing £170.00

  • 2CPD pts

  • Workshop Trainer: Christos Niaros, find Bio
