Pilates Classes, Types & Descriptions

  • Reformer Classes

A full-body Pilates session using the Reformer to build strength, flexibility, and stability through guided resistance.

You will move with spring support to restore alignment, improve posture, and return the body to efficient, balanced movement.

    Expect:

    • A structured, teacher-led session

    • Hands-on guidance and precise cueing

    • Small group (max 6) for personal attention

This class is ideal if you:

    • Spend long hours sitting

    • Want a strong, intelligent full-body workout

    • Are returning from injury or need supported movement

    • Cross-train alongside running, cycling, or weight training

The Reformer is often called the Universal Reformer — designed for everybody, at every stage.

  • Tower Classes

A full-body Pilates session using the Tower (Cadillac) to build strength, flexibility, and stamina through spring resistance.

You will work against deeper, more direct resistance than the Reformer — strengthening large muscle groups while integrating smaller stabilisers and the centre.

    Expect:

    • A structured, teacher-led session

    • Progressive, full-body work

    • Small group (max 6) for personal attention

This class is ideal if you:

    • Want a stronger, more challenging workout

    • Are looking to build muscle tone and resilience

    • Enjoy varied, dynamic sequences

    • Want to support and mobilise the spine safely

The Tower supports the body as it works — allowing you to strengthen, stretch, and organise movement with precision.

  • Wunda Chair & Barrels Classes

A dynamic, full-body Pilates session using the Wunda Chair and Barrels to build strength, agility, and control — while opening and restoring the body.

The Wunda Chair offers deep, direct challenge — demanding strength, balance, and precision.
The Barrels provide the counterpoint — opening the body, releasing tension, and restoring space.

Together, they create a powerful balance of effort and release.

    Expect:

    • A structured, teacher-led session

    • Strong, progressive work with moments of opening

    • Small group (max 6) for personal attention

This class is ideal if you:

    • Already have a regular Pilates practice

    • Want to be challenged physically and mentally

    • Are looking to build strength, agility, and stamina

    • Are a teacher or experienced client wanting to go deeper

This is a more demanding session — designed to organise the body under load, then restore it.

  • Studio Classes

A complete, full-body Pilates session taught off the large apparatus — using Mat work and small equipment to build strength, control, and connection.

This is not a simplified class.
It is the Method distilled directly.

    You will work with:

    • Mat exercises

    • Small apparatus (Magic Circle, hand weights, poles)

    • Clear, precise teaching

    Expect:

    • A structured, teacher-led session

    • Strong, focused work with attention to detail

    • Small group (max 6) for personal guidance

This class is ideal if you:

    • Want to deepen your understanding of the Method

    • Building a consistent practice - especially for home/holiday

    • Simplify with precision
