You will learn to teach it with an organised flow and rhythm designed to give a full body workout. We have broken the Matwork programme into 3 modules (£630 p/module):

INTRO TO MAT

Learn how to safely and correctly introduce the Classical Matwork repertoire to clients with no previous Pilates experience, whilst retaining the important flow and rhythm. Discover how to deliver every exercise with our unique formula and develop the ability to teach – a skill in itself.

Pre reqs:

  • Attend a minimum of 10 classical Matwork classes
  • Be familiar with and be able to take yourself through the Intro Matwork repertoire.
  • We recommend reading ‘Anatomy of Movement’ by Blandine Calais Germain Pilates

PROGRESSION MAT

Continue to develop your expertise and build on your teaching skills.  Learn to move your clients through an expansion of the repertoire with the introduction of more complex exercises, whilst simultaneously deepening the muscular requirement.  More focus will be paid to breath and its vital importance to movement and life.

Pre reqs:

  • Attend Intro to Mat

  • Attend a minimum of 10 classical Matwork classes to gain experience and familiarity with the Progression Matwork order.

PROGRESSION PLUS

Complete the full Classical Matwork repertoire with the addition of the final complex and playful mat exercises.  Continued deepening of the muscular connection required in the exercises, and continued development as a teacher with focus on voice, touch, and rhythm.

Completing all 3 modules will leave you confident and capable to teach group classes safely and comprehensively with years worth of training for you and your clients.

The structure and strategy that is provided throughout every stage of the course provided me with the tools to become the instructor I am today. Since completing my course, I have set up my own studio in Surrey. Pilates has become part of my life and can put you on the path to success. With hard work and passion, you can achieve what I have within a year.
